Our Staff Teresa AhlersCertified Medical AssistantTeresa graduated from Maric College in California. Prior to joining Maxwell Aesthetics, she worked in a family practice office for 4 years, then returned to Arizona where she earned an additional two years experience in the cosmetic surgery field.  Carol OlivaCertified Surgery Technologist/First AssistantCarol attended a degree program for surgical technology at Manchester Community College and the Hartford Hospital School of Allied Health. Carol became certified after graduating in 1981. She has many years of experience in all phases of surgery, as well as specializing as a certified ophthalmic technician and surgical assistant. Carol has continued her career by completing the National Institute of First Assisting Program and most recently has become ACLS certified.  Kathy IsleyControllerKathy graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. degree in accounting and economics, and she is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at the University of Phoenix. She previously worked for nine years as finance manager and senior manager at Intuit, where she gained extensive accounting and tax experience.  Lu BanksDirector of NursingLu has 21 years of experience in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, starting as a scrub nurse and then as a practice manager for 11 of those years. After managing a gastroenterology clinic for the past six years, she is very happy to return to cosmetic surgery and the operating room.  Kelly IsleyFile ClerkKelly is currently finishing her senior year of high school and is participating in an on the job training program. She works part-time as a medical records file clerk and office assistant. Kelly prides herself on her efficiency and diligent work ethic.  Alex DavisIT SupportAlex is our in-house technical whiz. He is particularly proud of his installation of the satellite audio sound system which enhances the building's relaxing atmosphere. Alex is also a full-time student.  Estella BushLicensed AestheticianEstella Bush joins the Maxwell Aesthetics team after leaving a thriving career at a Five Star resort in Scottsdale, AZ and a long history as a Make-up artist in the entertainment industry. After a long personal struggle with Cystic Acne Estella set out to learn about providing herself and others effective skin care treatments. She began her career as a Licensed Aesthetician in 1999, continuing with advanced skin care training from the Dermal Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. She has continued her education in chemical peels, medical strength products, is certified in Basic Lymphatic Drainage and has received her Medical Laser Technician Certification.  Sandy SeidelLicensed AestheticianSandy Seidel a Licensed Aesthetician with over six years experience came to us from an exclusive day spa here in Tucson, AZ. During her career she specialized and excelled in facial treatments and waxing. Sandy's knowledge with skin care has advanced with certifications in both medical strength products, chemical peels. She is also currently a Certified Medical Laser technician. Sandy continues to broaden her knowledge with cutting edge skin care allowing Maxwell Aesthetics to provide our clients with an assortment of effective and versatile treatments.  Megan ThrasherLicensed Massage TherapistMegan is a fully licensed and Arizona State Certified massage therapist. She graduated from the Desert Institute of Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona. She made the Deans List all three semesters. Megan has 7 years of experience in both medical and spa massage treatments. She focuses on each patient's individual needs. She is able to offer a full range of body treatments including the Elos Velasmooth Treatment to reduce the appearance of cellulite, reflexology, and hot stone massage. Not only do these treatments benefit our spa clients, but they also enhance the post-operative recovery for our surgery patients.  Susan SimmonsMedi Spa Assistant Manager and Medical Laser TechnicianSusan is not only one of the primary certified Medical laser Technicians with experience in both IPL and Laser treatments, she is also the assistant manager of the Medi-spa.  Tiffany PetersonMedi Spa Manager and Certified Medical Laser TechnicianTiffany has 21 years of experience as a medical assistant, surgical scrub and certified Ophthalmic technician. Prior to joining Maxwell Aesthetics she launched and operated a skin care division at another local physician's practice. Tiffany also received a medical laser technician certification and continues the treatment of clients while maintaining her role as Medi Spa Manager.  Maritza MartinezMedical AssistantMaritza graduated from the Pima Medical Institute in Tucson,Arizona as a certified nursing assistant. She has 7 years of experience as a medical assistant. For the last 4 years she has worked in the cosmetic surgery field. Prior to joining Maxwell Aesthetics, Maritza was the office manager and medical assistant for Dr. Teresa Jackson. She has also worked in a multi-surgery clinic with University Physicians Healthcare and as a patient care technician for the University Medical Center trauma ICU unit. Amanda Santa CruzOffice Administrative SupportWith more than 35 years of extensive experience in different surgical specialties, Amanda has worked in Tucson for five plastic surgeons, an ob/gyn practice, and the University of Arizona Transplant Department. She is also a certified transcriptionist. In her current role, Amanda assists with the medical dictation, and tracks the staff's continuing medical education credits.  Celeste MillsOffice Administrative SupportBefore joining Maxwell Aesthetics, Celeste spent five years at a software company where she was a human resources coordinator and then a human resources database administrator. She currently works part-time. In her current role, Celeste assists with the medical dictation and manages the Maxwell Aesthetics website.  Jody KnightOffice Manager and Patient CoordinatorJody graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor's degree in business management. She was a chiropractic assistant for two years and then worked for five years as a banquet and special events manager for a local resort.  Randi GonzalesOffice Supervisor and Credentialing CoordinatorRandi has thirty years of experience as a receptionist, customer service representative and then as an executive administrative assistant to the president of a large company in Wisconsin. Most recently, she worked with physicians as a technical support specialist at a manufacturer of orthodontic appliances.  Diane DeebOperating Room Registered NurseDiane graduated from the University of Arizona and began working in cosmetic surgery in 1995. Her experience includes scrub nurse, operating room, and recovery room. She enjoys being a part of Aesthetic Surgery at Hacienda del Sol.  Katie CoombesPatient AdvocateAfter attending the University of Arizona for a business degree, Katie spent six years as the business manager for a large retail cosmetic brand. She was also the professionally trained, resident make-up artist. Katie started at Maxwell Aesthetics as a certified medical laser technician and a licensed aesthetician.  Becky FolgerPersonal and Clerical AssistantBecky works part-time, helping with filing charts, sorting mail, running errands, and a variety of other tasks. She is a full-time college student with the goal of becoming a veterinarian or a marine biologist.  Lupita WallisReception ServicesLupita has over 15 years of medical and administrative experience. She is certified as a chiropractic assistant. Lupita is also our office translator, ensuring our Spanish speaking clients have a comfortable experience.  Nikki LeathersReception ServicesNikki has been a wonderful addition to our administrative team. She originally started part-time in the Medi-Spa, and has worked her way into the Cosmetic Surgery department as one of the full-time receptionists. Nikki will be graduating in Spring 2008 from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. She plans on taking her LSATs within the next year and applying to law school.  Christine Tobler, RNRecovery NurseA graduate of the University of Arizona School of Nursing, Christine has worked in cosmetic surgery for the past 3 years. She has extensive experience in emergency room medicine and is a welcome addition to our staff.  Polly VorholzerSpa AttendantBefore joining Maxwell Aesthetics, Polly worked for over 11 years, as an administrative assistant for a large home builder. She is a graduate of Eastern Arizona College with a degree in business.  Stephanie HawleySpa ConciergeStephanie is a Tucson native and graduated from The Art Center Design College. She is a part-time freelance graphic designer and real-estate agent. Before joining Maxwell Aesthetics, she worked for a high end cosmetics company for five years as a makeup artist and promotions assistant. Stephanie is currently the Maxwell Aesthetics Medi-Spa Concierge.  Pam RiehmSurgical TechnologistPam obtained her Surgical Technologist degree from Allegheny Community College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has over 15 years of experience as a surgical tech, and has been in the field of cosmetic surgery for 7 years. Pam practiced as a licensed cosmetologist for 14 years as well. |
